Gummies are literally healthy lollies for your little ones. They are made with a handful of nourishing ingredients & the gut healing superstar, gelatin.
Gelatin is made up of amino acids that heal the gut lining. We know the gut is the epicentre to our health & impaired gut function can be associated with food intolerances, behavioural conditions, eczema, asthma & immune conditions.
These gummies are a fabulous way to get more protein into your child's diet and help heal their fragile gut.
STRAWBERRY PONO GUMMIES
1 Cup. of liquid, this can be coconut milk, coconut water, pureed fruit or juice.
1 & 1/2 Tbsp. Gelatin (I use Nutra Organics)
Sweetener if required, pure maple syrup, rice malt syrup or raw honey.
1 Tsp. PONO probiotics
(This recipe I have used strawberries)
In a small saucepan gently heat 1 cup of organic strawberries until berries have cooked down & syrup has formed.
Place strawberries in a blender and whiz until smooth.
Pour strawberry puree back into the pot, there is no need to heat it will still be hot.
Sprinkle gelatin into berry puree & whisk gently until gelatin has disolved.
Let the puree cool slightly & add 1 teaspoon of PONO probiotics
Pour into moulds or into a glass dish.
Place into the fridge & let it set. approx 1 hour.
*Note - Do not blend the gelatin it will foam up & make a bubbly gummy.
