Nestled on an overlook with amazing ocean views, stunning sunsets, and the famous Bali Hai, you'll never want to leave our beautifully tropical boho styled two bedroom, two bathroom condo. We have everything you'll need and want for the most relaxing stay of your island vacation and only steps away from food, drinks, the pool and our own hideaways beach.
This is a place to reset, reflect, and relax. Designed with a 'slower' pace in mind, our hope is that you enjoy every part of your stay, from making local coffee {which we happily provide} in the morning to a mixed cocktail in the evening while sitting on the lanai taking in the sunset as it dips into the Pacific Ocean.
THE STORY BEHIND SURFSHACK...
My family and I moved to Kauai 8 years ago to raise our kids on this beautiful island-We wanted to spend our days in the water, outside, and in nature. We also love the chance to travel..... so a little over a year ago we came across an opportunity to buy a second home and put a little love into a place that we knew if we styled it just right.... and added everything we loved to have in a home when we traveled, that it could be something really special.
We gift our guests a basket that includes a fresh pineapple, locally roasted Kauai coffee, local granola, and we created a custom curated newspaper that has all of our favorite restaurants and places to see/do . This newspaper has a map of the island too, and can be taken home with our guests as a souvenir of sorts.
We know how much time and money goes into planning a vacation, and wanted to create a sanctuary where our guests can reset, reflect, and most importantly.... relax.
A guest favorite is our fully stocked thirst aid station with local vibrations (because mai tai right)?!?
Notice the word local- we try to be as island friendly as we can, supporting our friends and businesses on island here.
Anyhoo- our little Surf shack by the sea is a special place on the Northshore of Kauai.

There is a restaurant on property, a paved walkway down to our own private Hideaways beach, a swimming pool and hot tub. We are also within walking distance to the Princeville Resort hotel and their public beach, a half mile from the Makai Golf Course, and a 10 minute drive down the Hanalei Town and Hanalei bay. A 10 minute drive in the opposite direction will lead you to beautiful calm Anini beach.
There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms in the home, and works well for a group of friends, two couples, or small families. It is clean, warm and inviting. We provide you with amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a hair dryer. A fully stocked kitchen offers you the opportunity to cook, and extra freebies like beach chairs, body boards, snorkel sets, umbrellas, beach towels, and a cooler to ensure you're all set for a day in the sand. The closets are stocked with extra towels, blankets and pillows. TV with digital cable in the living room, and Roku tv’s with Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon in both bedrooms, a Vizio bluetooth speaker, reliable Wifi, and charging ports for your devices in each room. Mix of current, mid century modern, and unique vintage furnishings that exude Hawaii at it's best.
